God's Weather Report - 2020

GOD’S WEATHER REPORT – 2020

Please consider.  We are in God’s world, not He in ours.

In January or February of this year, 2020, sometime between 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. EST, I was driving to work on the Interstate, stopped in park-and-go traffic, when the sun winked.  Wink-Wink.  It was God saying, "Hello, how are you today?"  The thing is the sun did not dance in the sky and threaten to crash to the earth as it may have seemed to do at Fatima.  It was just a friendly little wink.

Please consider God, the Father, the Most Human of All Beings, and the miracle of the sun at Fatima.  The weather at Fatima the day thousands of pilgrims came to see the promised miracle was rain, heavy non-stop rain.  The pilgrims were wearing their best clothing with many layers – wool, leather boots. hats, and so forth.  And walking, slipping, sliding through the mud created by the rain on dry dirt roads.

When the pilgrims arrived at the designated place of the miracle, they waited in the rain.  And then the sun began to dance.  And God looked at all those who had come to see, who believed and noticed how wet the pilgrims were.  And He wondered how He could help them.  And suddenly He took His sun and brought it closer to the earth and the rain-soaked pilgrims and turned up the heat.  And the pilgrims suddenly found their clothes dried out and the mud road returned to a dry, passable road.  When His sun had finished its work, He restored it to its rightful place in His Heaven.*

August 24, 2020.  God, the Father is certainly talking to us these days, including adding some storms to keep us from becoming bored or sleepy -- a 700-mile derecho, which did incredible damage to the center of the country; 2 hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico at the same time – Laura and Isaias (!), 90 wildfires in California and other western states.

Some thoughts about why:  Is God, the Father angry at us because of our pro-death, anti-religion and other wrong attitudes in this country?  Or is He just tired of seeing the same old scenery and decided to try something new?

August 2020.  Interesting note:  A Subaru car advertisement on television stated that a professional photographer (Mr. Palley, I believe) used his Subaru to photograph the wildfires in California.  Subaru is using its new car to plant over 375,000 new trees over three years in the burned out areas.

So God, the Father changes the way His earth looks (some might say wreaks havoc in the lives of so many people) -- or to put it another way, is He angry, wanting some attention, or is there some other reason why the earth must change its appearance?  Some reason we cannot see or understand.

The thing is God has made us curious.  And so while He sends His hurricanes and other storms, He has given us the instruments to track these storms, to warn others of their coming, and to help other human beings to help those human beings after the storms pass. May God bless the meteorologists and others who spend their lifetimes studying the weather, the Hurricane Hunters who risk their lives to give us a more accurate idea of what a storm may be like, and the Coast Guard who risk their lives in places like the Alaska and Florida waters to save others -- in good weather and bad.  So many who do so much -- we're somehow right behind You, God, really trying to deal with Your world the way we should.

September 11, 2020.  California has 95 wildfires burning.  Also the temperatures in the western part of the country have been pretty high -- from California eastward to Colorado and Wyoming, 100 to 112 was the daily norm.  So God said, "Too warm for you? Have some snow and cool off." And so He did.  The very next day He sent them snow.

November 2020.  God, the Father is still doing a number on the Caribbean Sea countries, still spinning hurricanes which are so fierce and strong.  The latest, Iota, was said to be a Category 5 set to hit Nicaragua and neighboring countries.  Someone must have complained about being bored.
